The Battle Cry Goes Up at Naas for the Paddy Power Cheltenham Trial Day

Battle CryChampion national hunt jockey Ruby Walsh joined Paddy Power as he leads the battle cry all the way from Naas Racecourse to Cheltenham ahead of the County Kildare tracks hosting of the most important precursor to the Cheltenham Festival, the Paddy Power Cheltenham Trial Day on Sunday 21st of February. The Paddy Power sponsored race day at Naas will be one of the last chances for race goers to see some of the Irish contenders on home soil before they go to battle at the Cheltenham Festival. In past years the Paddy Power Cheltenham Trial Day at Naas saw stars such as Annie Power, Don Cossack, Go Native, Killultagh Vic and Rite of Passage prepare for the road to Cheltenham. On the day, Naas race goers will hear from leading Cheltenham-bound trainers such as Willie Mullins, Gordon Elliott and Henry de Bromhead as they review their chances at the Cheltenham Festival. Spokesperson for Paddy Power said: “The Irish have a special love for jumps racing and a greater love for Cheltenham. The Festival may take place across the Irish Sea but it really is a home from home for the Paddies. We are again proud to be the sponsor of the Naas Cheltenham Trial Day, this is our tenth year partnering with the course and it’s an event that continues to go from strength to strength.” General admission to Naas Races is just €15 and can be purchased online at naasracecourse.com.
