Suzanne Gallagher crowned Best Dressed Lady at Naas Racecourse Winter Ladies Day Suzanne Gallagher from Sligo was crowned the Best Dressed Lady at the Lawlor’s of Naas Grade 1 Novice Hurdle Winter Ladies Day at Naas Racecourse on Sunday, January 6^th, which attracted a massive crowd of 5,610 spectators. Suzanne received a fabulous prize to the value of almost €3,500 for her efforts, which includes a luxurious Ladies Day package a Lawlor’s of Naas Town Centre Hotel, Naas, a €1,500 voucher for the Residence Day Spa in Naas and €1,500 worth of accessories and products from Alan Keville for Hair. The four runners up each received a €100 voucher for the Residence Day Spa and a €100 voucher for Alan Keville for Hair. The stunning winner wore a camel coat with dramatic faux fur cuffs on carpet sleeves, paired with an ivory skirt dress. Her eye-catching hat was designed by Irish milliner Martha Lynn, and Suzanne complimented her outfit with vintage ivory gloves, an ivory clutch bag from Accessorize in Sligo, while her camel court shoes were purchased from Strollers in Sligo. Suzanne was picked as the winner by a team of judges headed up by celebrity fashion judge, model and nutritionist Rosanna Davison, who was joined by Michelle Winters Lawlor of Lawlor’s Hotel, Zana Kostiva of Residence Day Spa, Alex Keville from the Alan Keville for Hair salon, and Anna Fortune of the Kildare Post, official media partners of the Winter Ladies Day. The theme for the Best Dressed Lady competition was ‘fashion through time’, so ladies were encouraged to give a little nod to their favourite styles down through the ages by including something from that particular time as part of their outfit. Celebrity fashion judge, Rosanna Davison, said; “I had a wonderful day here at Naas Racecourse looking out for all the style that was on show. It was very difficult to pick a winner because there was so much interest in the competition, which was certainly worth winning when you look at all the great prizes on offer. In the end it was Suzanne who really stood out thanks to her striking outfit that was topped off by some really exquisite accessories. It was great to see the way in which she styled her outfit on the ‘fashion through time’ theme and made herself look very elegant in the process. “I am delighted to have had the opportunity to be part of the judging panel here on what was a thoroughly enjoyable day at the races.” The feature race of the day, the Lawlor’s of Naas Grade 1 Novice Hurdle, went the way of the impressive Battleofdoyen who made it three wins from three at the start of his promising career for trainer Gordon Elliott. Jockey Jack Kennedy was on board the six-year-old, who finished just under three lengths clear of the Mouse Morris-trained Sams Profile.
