Step Back in Time to the 1920s as Naas Racecourse Celebrates Centenary with Free Raceday on Royal Ascot Trials Day

Naas Racecourse is gearing up for a day of celebration as the course marks a century of racing excellence on Sunday, 19th May for their Royal Ascot Trials Day, and everyone is invited to come racing for free and join in the festivities at a special Centenary Raceday.

Royal Ascot Trials Day is Naas Racecourse’s pinnacle flat card of the season, boasting two Group Three races in the Goffs Lacken Stakes and The Coolmore Stud EBF Fillies Sprint Stakes that can produce hot contenders for the Royal festival across the Irish Sea in June. This year's event takes on added significance as it serves as a platform to commemorate Naas Racecourse's 100 years of racing heritage.

To honour the racetrack's illustrious past, amateur drama groups from around the country will be in attendance on the day and stepping back in time to embrace the glamour of the 1920s by showcasing vintage attire reminiscent of the era. Racegoers are encouraged to do the same. The best 1920s inspired outfit on the day will be treated to a VIP Day at Naas races along with an overnight stay and dinner at Lawlor’s of Naas Hotel.

Along with an eight-race card, attendees will be treated to an array of entertainment on the day, including live music, kids’ entertainment, sizzling BBQ’s and discounted hospitality packages.
