THE FLAT IS ALMOST BACK! The first meeting of the flat season at Naas takes place on Sunday 28th March. Whilst we won’t host the opening meeting of the Irish flat season we will be bringing 8 great races, a full sponsored card. The feature races include the Lodge Park EBF Express Stakes and the listed Plusvital Devoy Stakes and four out of our eight races are sponsored by Compas Stallions. (See all races  below or to the left)

Racing TV will show live coverage of all seven races on the day and we are also delighted to have TG4 broadcasting live showing the feature and supporting races on the day. Check back on Friday 26th March to download our digital racecard.

We continue to race behind closed doors in line with government guidelines. Visit hri.ie to view  COVID 19 protocols that are currently in place.

LODGE PARK STUD will be sponsoring the Group 3 EBF Park Express Stakes on the day. The Burns family has been breeding Classic winners at their Lodge Park Stud in Kilkenny for three generations. Some of the stars born at Lodge Park Stud include Park Express (GB) (Ahonoora {GB}) one of the foundation mares the stud is probably best known.

PLUSVITAL have partnered with us again this year and will sponsor the listed Plusvital Devoy Stakes. This year will also see Plusvital extend their association where they will be kindly providing an equine care pack to all grooms in-charge of the horse that is judged the Best Turned Out throughout Naas’ 2021 Flat season which will consist of a further 11 fixtures with a minimum of 92 races.

COMPAS STALLIONS is a growing force among Irish Stallions, founded and owned by Micheal Orlandi.  Currently, there are six stallions standing at the Westmeath Stud including Galileo Chrome, My Dream Boat, Cappella Sansevero, Kuroshio, Smooth Daddy, and the newest recruit to the roster Far Above. Micheal will be sponsoring four races on the card and named after the latter four stallions listed.

IRISH EBF are the largest contributors to Irish Racing. The Irish European Breeders’ Fund has supported horseracing in Ireland since 1983 Britain by enhancing prize money for over 30 years. Last year, racing in Ireland received a timely boost from the Irish European Breeders’ Fund, with the country’s largest sponsor increasing it’s 2020 sponsorship input to €2.5 million.
