Foran Equine Irish EBF Auction Series Final Day

A hugely competitive day of racing in store! The feature race on the card is the €120,000 Foran Equine Irish EBF Auction Finale which Naas are very excited to host.

The Foran Equine Irish EBF Auction Series host a number of qualifying races from March – October. Each of the qualifying races has a minimum prize-fund of €20,000 as well as the added benefit of being Plus 10 registered, whereby qualified winners will be eligible for a bonus of €12,500 giving a winning owner a potential pay-out of just under €25,000. Horses must also be by an EBF registered sire to qualify. 

Now in its sixth year the Auction Series has established itself as a principal target for two-year-olds bought at auction for €72,000 or less. Last year’s winner was Lustown Baba was purchased at the Goffs Sportsman sale for just €12,000 from Owenstown Stud. The filly is owned by Back Road Syndicate and trained by Wille McCreery.

The Tifrumus Irish EBF ( Colts & Geldings) Maiden is sponsored by Fornaughts Stud, located just a few minutes from the racetrack.

The Irish EBF Athasi Stakes Day

Due to Covid – 19 the flat finale was pushed out to Saturday 7th November and we will host another flat meeting on Sunday 1st November. We will continue to race behind closed doors in line with government regulations and Horse Racing Ireland recommendations. Flat Season Finale

Saturday 7th

For the fourth year running Naas Racecourse will host the Irish flat season finale and the Irish flat season awards. The feature race on the day will be The Tally- Ho Stud Irish EBF Premier Nursery and the Naas November Handicap.

We also look forward to the Horse Racing Ireland Flat Awards where Champion Owner, Champion Trainer, Champion Jockey and Champion Apprentice Jockey will be crowned on the day.

The stud has been under the ownership of Tony and Anne O’Callaghan for over 40 years who manage the successful operation with their sons Roger and Henry. Tally – Ho Stud is recognised as one of Irelands leading Studs and leading consignors of thoroughbreds in both Ireland and the UK. Kodiac, Irelands leading sire in 2019, is one of six stallions standing at the Stud. Kodiac’s illustrious progeny includes Fairyland and Hello Youmzain. Return Of The Jumps

Saturday 21st

The opening national hunt meeting of the 2019/2020 season at Naas. An action-packed race meeting featuring three graded races including the Fishery Lane Hurdle and the Grade B Brown Lad Handicap Hurdle.
