Paddy Power gets his Grade 2 ahead of the Grade 2 Paddy Power Novice Hurdle on Cheltenham Trials Day at Naas

The Paddy Power Cheltenham Trails Day will take place on Sunday February 25th and the day is one of the key fixtures in Naas Racecourse’s calendar. With the festival only a matter of a few weeks away the Cheltenham Trials Day is the ideal opportunity for Cheltenham contenders to have their last prep race on Irish soil before making the trip across the water. Some big names are guaranteed to make the journey to Naas where the feature race on the day will be the Grade 2 Paddy Power Novice Hurdle, a race won in the past by quality names such as Annie Power and subsequent Supreme Novices’ Hurdle winner Go Native. At the Trials Day last year we also saw Irish Gold Cup winner Edwulf open his account over fences. A host of racing personalities will be on hand on Sunday morning for the Paddy Power Winning Line which will take place in The Circle Bar, located on the ground floor of The Circle. The Circle is the new feature building which was launched in January. Throughout the day the Cheltenham Preview will also take place between races, giving racegoers the opportunity to hear from leading jockeys and trainers ahead of the Cheltenham festival. Tom Ryan, Manager of Naas Racecourse commented: ‘We are delighted that Paddy Power are sponsoring the Naas Racecourse Cheltenham Trial day for the thirteenth year running. We appreciate that they have consistently maintained their significant contribution to the prize-money and we look forward to the day. Paddy Power commented: “Paddy Power Trials day at Naas is always a fantastic event, not only do we get to see some top quality racing in the flesh, it’s also a great excuse to have a good look ahead to Cheltenham which is only around the corner. Best of all you can usually pick up a nugget or two around Festival runners from the top owners and trainers who’ll be interviewed throughout the day’. Admission tickets are €15 and include a €5 free bet and the first of eight races will kick off at 1.40pm.
