A culture of continuous improvement and developments has been visible at Naas in recent years; an unrelenting appetite to seek out opportunities to advance can be seen in all aspects of the operation.
Developments at the racecourse in recent years have focused on improvement to the racing circuit and adjoining racing facilities. The current developments focus on the customer experience at Naas.
We are delighted to unveil our new Feature Building, ‘The Circle’ which was created as part of a €3.2 million HRI Capital Development Scheme that commenced last year. The innovative cylindrical design, located between the parade ring and grandstand, allows for greater vantage points for the general racing public and Owners & Trainers alike.
The ground floor of the building, ‘The Circle Bar’ is a Sports Bar open to all racegoers and the Owners & Trainers Lounge is located on the first floor. The Owners & Trainers Lounge has a 180-degree views of the track making it one of the world’s premier vantage points to view steeds in motion. As an appreciation to Owners and to thank them for their contribution to the industry, we are offering two complimentary meal vouchers to those that have a runner on the raceday.
Our €1.7 million Feature Building was built by Duggan Lynch builders. Turnberry Design developed the concept and architects Hamilton Young completed the design work and architecture. Turnberry Design Consultants have a speciality in racecourse design and is believed to be the only racecourse building of its kind in Britain and Ireland.
Our new crèche facility will be fully operational during racing and during non racedays in the coming weeks, this will be a welcome addition to families when visiting the racecourse. The next part of the redevelopment programme will commence in the spring. This phase of the redevelopment will see the interiors and public areas within the grandstand upgraded including the Panoramic Restaurant. Designs for these developments including our new members lounge will be revealed in the near future.
The Second Phase of our overall €3.2 million development, partly funded through the Horse Racing Ireland Racecourse Capital Development Scheme commenced on Wednesday, 29th August.
The team at Naas Racecourse strive to make continuous improvements to enhance the customer experience at the boutique styled track. Hamilton Young Architects and Jennings Design Studio worked on the design of the grandstand and Parson, a Kildare based company specialising in Commercial Interior Construction have taken on the interior project.
Aside from a complete interior upgrade on each floor of the grandstand, there will also be additional seating areas and a Café open to all racegoers on the ground floor, a dedicated Members Area on the first floor of the grandstand and a Sponsors Lounge on the second floor.
The second phase of the redevelopment is scheduled to be completed by the end of October. We hope our loyal racegoers, Sponsors and Members enjoy the new facilities.
