Naas Racecourse Set for Another Unmissable Summer Season of Racing, BBQ & Live Music
Naas Racecourse is preparing for an exciting 2026 summer season, with the return of its hugely popular Summer Racing, BBQ & Live Music series, combining quality racing, great food from caterers Lily & Wild, and live entertainment in a vibrant and social setting.
The series begins on Wednesday, June 24th, featuring competitive racing including the Listed Al Shira’aa Racing Irish EBF Jannah Rose Stakes (Group 3), a race that last year produced Barnavara, who went on to achieve Group 1 success in the Prix de l’Opéra for Jessica Harrington. She was later sold for 4,800,000gns, making her the highest-priced filly in training sold anywhere in the world in 2025. The race continues to highlight emerging top-class talent, and this year’s renewal looks set to do the same. Following racing, popular returning band After Dark will provide live music, offering racegoers the perfect way to round off a summer evening.
The action continues on Saturday, July 4th, with a Summer Saturday raceday featuring the Irish EBF Pat Smullen Stakes followed by live music from well-known band Spring Break. This fixture will have a family focus with face-painting and a mascot race making it an ideal day out for all ages. With quality racing on track and a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere throughout the racecourse, it offers something for everyone - whether you’re attending for the sport, the social occasion, or a family day out.
The final event in the series takes place on Wednesday, July 22nd, featuring the Listed Yeomanstown Stud Irish EBF Stakes, another key contest that regularly attracts high-quality fields. Racing will be followed by live music from The Mixtape, ensuring a lively and enjoyable finish to the evening.
Across all three fixtures, racegoers can take advantage of a range of hospitality options, including the ever-popular BBQ packages. Packages start from €30, while the premium BBQ Marquee package is priced at €60 and consistently sells out in advance. Located close to the parade ring, the BBQ experience offers a fantastic way to enjoy great food, racing, and post-race entertainment in one place.
