Naas Racecourse Partners with Barretstown for Royal Ascot Trials & Family Fun Day
Naas Racecourse is delighted to partner with Barretstown Children’s Charity for the Royal Ascot Trials & Family Fun Day taking place on Sunday, 17th May.
Barretstown will play a role in this year’s family-themed raceday, helping to provide a fun-filled atmosphere for families attending the event while also raising awareness and vital funds for the charity’s incredible work supporting children affected by serious illness and their families.
As part of the day’s free family entertainment, Barretstown will host a range of activities including Giant Connect Four, Giant Dobble, Mini Golf and Giant Bubbles, alongside Naas Racecourse’s packed schedule of family attractions featuring bouncy castles, facepainting, magic shows, a petting farm and colouring stations.
Barretstown volunteers will also be carrying out bucket collections throughout the day, with Naas Racecourse making a donation to support the charity’s ongoing work.
Founded by Paul Newman in 1994, Barretstown provides life-changing camps and programmes for children living with serious illnesses and their families, completely free of charge.
The partnership between Naas Racecourse and Barretstown will continue later this year when Naas Racecourse hosts the inaugural Barretstown Half Marathon on Sunday, 6th September. The race will start and finish at Naas Racecourse, with the scenic route taking participants towards Kill, past Kerdiffstown Park, through Sallins and along the canal before returning to Naas Racecourse.
