Leading French sales company ARQANA to renew sponsorship of Marwell Stakes at Naas

Naas Racecourse are delighted to announce French sales company ARQANA have renewed their sponsorship of the Irish EBF Marwell Stakes for another three years.

The international auction house based in Deauville first sponsored the race in 2020, the year it was introduced to the Naas flat calendar and this year’s renewal will take the company’s association with the County Kildare track into its fourth year in 2023.

Run over five furlongs and restricted to two-year-old fillies, the Listed contest has an increased prize fund this year of €50,000 and is one of the feature races on the card at the Naas Summer Racing and BBQ Evening on July 26. 

UK Trainer, Alice Haynes scored with her first Irish runner in the race last year with Lady Hollywood. The Havana Grey filly went on to Group 3 success in the Prix d'Arenberg in Longchamp later in the season.

The ARQANA Irish EBF Marwell stakes consistently attracts high class fillies and has previously been won by Group 1 winner Miss Amulet (2020) and Group 2 winner Ladies Church (2021).

The ARQANA Irish EBF Marwell Stakes will be one of 7 races to take place at Naas Racecourse on July 26th (evening meeting) the card also features the listed Yeomanstown Stud Stakes.
